Nuclear energy has received a long-awaited recognition as an environmentally friendly and sustainable source of energy. Akkuyu NPP project creates a large-scale positive effect in Turkey. This is one of the largest direct foreign investments, which will bring billions of dollars to the Turkish economy. In addition, the project contributes to the growth of the region population, development of employment, infrastructure and many other areas of social life. Akkuyu NPP project has gained a very high pace at this stage. More than 20,000 people work on the site every day, bringing us closer to reaching of Turkey's most important goal to produce sustainable nuclear energy in the country”

Participants shared their feedback after the events.
Fikret Özgümüş, Aka Su Teknolojleri CEO, Turkey: “AKA SU has extensive experience in implementing projects in Turkey and around the world, especially in thermal, gas, biogas, wind and hydro power plants. Relying on our experience, we set ourselves the goal of becoming the supplier for Turkey's first nuclear power plant and achieved it by winning a competitive tender for the manufacture and supply of tanks for cleaning and storage systems for chemicals for Akkuyu NPP construction. We are also fully responsible for the development of design and other accompanying documentation for the supply of our products. At this stage, the process of coordinating documents is underway, as a result of which we will start the production.”
Onur Bizimtuna, Main Clients Manager, Dalgakiran Kompressor, Turkey: “Not all industrial enterprises in Turkey are fully prepared to become suppliers to the nuclear industry. But we are gradually adapting to work according to the international and Russian standards. Meetings in the B2B format were very useful for us, and we pay close attention to this format of communication. At such meetings, we get detailed information on what issues we should focus on and how to prepare for the tender procedures in the best way.”
Oguz Sultanoglu, Quality Assurance Director, Mim Muhendislik, Turkey: “NPPES is an effective platform for us. We are establishing dialogue with many companies and finding mutual interests. During the pandemic, there was a certain decline in business activity, but now, thanks to the resumption of major forums and exhibitions, we have a great opportunity to strengthen interaction with potential partners. And most importantly, we got to know the principles of work and procurement activities of Rosatom State Corporation, which creates equal opportunities for companies to become suppliers of the Akkuyu NPP project.”
Ömer Solmaz, Mechanical Engineer, MOS Dovme Metal, Turkey: “During the presentations at the panel sessions, we received valuable information about the construction of nuclear power plants. Separately, I would like to emphasize the meetings in the B2B format. It is a great opportunity for us, potential suppliers, to get answers to our questions from qualified and competent specialists. In terms of the content, everything was top notch.”
Tarik Umit Pehlivan, TPM Robot Company representative: “I attended the panel discussions, where I learned a lot about nuclear energy, and talked with representatives of the companies presented at the exposition. We discussed opportunities for cooperation and joint participation in nuclear industry projects. I also visited the exhibition and took part in B2B meetings to find out how the procurement procedures for the Akkuyu NPP project are carried out. The information obtained will allow us to define priorities and prepare for the participation in tenders in the best way.”
