Smart Industry business unit of Enersense International Oyj, the implementer of zero-emission energy solutions, has signed an agreement with Rosatom's subsidiary Rusatom Automated Control Systems JSC (RASU JSC) for providing European technical experts for the Hanhikivi-1 nuclear power plant project. RASU JSC is responsible for the overall supply, design and integration of the Hanhikivi-1 project's automation technology.
Enersense will supply expert-level personnel to RASU's Helsinki office under a one-year contract. “We have already started to identify suitable candidates for these positions from our database and various external sources. Our client, RASU JSC, is especially looking for experts in the safety and quality of nuclear power plant instrumentation and control (I&C) systems”, says Andrei Klimchuk, Account Manager of Enersense International Oyj.
The contract signed with RASU is an important milestone for Enersense.
“It’s great that our customer values our expertise. We have accumulated a lot of know-how from the Olkiluoto-3 nuclear power plant project, which we can now use in the Hanhikivi-1 project. We see the agreement with RASU bringing us great potential for the supplying resources in the Hanhikivi-1 project in the future. The contract also supports our strategy as an implementer of emission-free energy solutions”, says Jussi Holopainen, CEO of Enersense International Oyj.
“We expect that strengthening RASU JSC team with additional European specialists with the experience of work in Finland and the mindset similar to the one of the owner of the Hanhikivi-1 project will help us to establish efficient communication with the NPP owner and solve complicated technical issues. In cooperation with Enersense, we will enforce our capabilities with the knowledge and experience of local experts”, says Andrey Butko, CEO of RASU JSC.
