On December 22, 2020, the El Dabaa NPP Project Directorate of the Engineering Division of Rosatom State Corporation (General Designer and General Contractor of the El-Dabaa NPP construction) and Private Institution “Rusatom International Network” held a webinar for potential contractors of the El Dabaa NPP project in a new discussion format. A month before the date of the webinar, the organizers posted a course of 16 presentations on a special interactive platform. 
Participants of the event could study these materials in advance and send their questions to the authors of the presentations through a special form on the website. As part of the course, the audience were provided with detailed information on the following topics: basic principles of procurement procedures and opportunities for suppliers, audits, terms of reference requirements, the procedure for making changes to already approved detailed design documentation, and much more.* 
During the webinar, the specialists of the Engineering Division answered the questions of the participants that appeared during the studying the presentations, and provided the necessary explanations on the issues arisen during the discussion. 
The event was attended by the heads and key managers responsible for important aspects of the El Dabaa NPP project implementation, representatives of the Nuclear Power Plant Authority of Egypt (NPPA), as well as leading international supplying companies from Egypt, France, the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of Belarus and other countries.
According to Grigory Sosnin, Vice-President - Director for El Dabaa NPP Construction Project, the Engineering Division of Rosatom State Corporation is extremely interested in building close and mutually beneficial relations with Egyptian companies, as well as in attracting leading international and regional counterparties, cooperation with which will allow achieving a synergistic effect for the project successful implementation. El Dabaa NPP is the most important project not only for the development of Egypt, but for the entire region of the Middle East and North Africa as a whole. 
“Its implementation will undoubtedly have a positive effect on the development of the entire local industry, ”- said Mohammed Ramadan, Project Manager for El-Dabaa NPP in the Nuclear Power Plant Authority of the Arab Republic of Egypt. 
The past event is the first in a series of webinars planned by the Engineering Division. Another course of lectures and a webinar based on the results thereof are planned for the spring of 2021.
