AKKUYU NUCLEAR CEO's Statement With Regards To Earthquake In Turkiye

"We were all shocked by the news of the earthquake that took place last night in central Turkey. Magnitude 3-equivalent tremors were also felt here, at the site of Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant, but our personnel did not come across any damage to building structures, cranes, or equipment. Construction and installation operations continue. We will provide all possible support to victims. We have launched a donation campaign amongst our employees to collect essential goods for the victims. Akkuyu Nuclear’s department of Mobilization Training, Civil Defense and Emergency Situations is cooperating with Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) and preparing to send equipment and personnel to help in the aftermath of the earthquake.
