August 6, 2019 saw the completion of concrete works for the Unit No. 2 turbine hall foundation slab. The slab structure received 3 782 tons of rebars and 23 550 cubic meters of concrete.
As Sergey Lastochkin, Vice-President of the Rooppur NPP construction Project has pointed out, this is an important stage of the construction that will be followed by the works for erection of the walls of Unit No. 2 turbine hall. The specialists employed at the construction site for the first NPP in Bangladesh have commenced preparations for this period of work.
