At the NPPES-2024 forum in Istanbul, enterprises of the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM will present information on potential cooperation areas and the implementation of the Akkuyu NPP project

The Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM will participate in the VI International Exhibition and X Nuclear Power Plant Summit NPPES-2024, to be held in Istanbul, Türkiye, on July 2-3, 2024.

One of the key projects of cooperation between Russia and Türkiye is the construction of the Türkiye’s first nuclear power plant. Within the business program, the representative of AKKUYU NUKLEAR JSC will inform the audience on the latest developments of Akkuyu NPP project implementation and the most significant events in one of the largest nuclear construction sites in the world. 

The Forum audience will be presented with a comprehensive business program, featuring a diverse range of topics from ROSATOM speakers. In particular, one of the promising areas of nuclear power development is low-power nuclear power plants, where ROSATOM has unique competencies. The representative of ROSATOM will provide information on implemented and future projects for small land-based and floating power plants. Some presentations will be focused on ROSATOM products in the field of logistics; final stage of the NPP life cycle; and multi-profile offer.

At the forum, Rosatom will organize a roundtable dedicated to the future of low-carbon generation. Representatives of government agencies and the expert community will discuss specific tools that will ensure the energy transition, as well as the place of nuclear energy in forming a highly efficient and low-carbon energy future that meets the UN climate goals.

ROSATOM's exhibition will showcase modern high-tech products from Russian nuclear industry enterprises. The focus will be on key areas of the ROSATOM's activities in low-carbon energy generation, including large and small-capacity nuclear power plant (NPP) projects, floating NPPs, and wind energy. Additionally, the exhibition will feature information on energy and non-energy technologies Russian nuclear industry represents, including logistics, medicine, and composite materials. Representatives of ROSATOM organizations will participate in B2B sessions.   

The NPPES International Summit is the largest dialogue platform between nuclear power companies, nuclear suppliers, the national industry regulator and other relevant institutions in the Republic of Türkiye. Last year's NPPES was attended by around 1,300 delegates and guests from Türkiye, Russia, China, South Korea, India, the UK, France, Germany, Italy and other countries.
