Following the negotiations, JSC Rusatom Automated Control Systems (JSC RASU) and Sieyuan Electric CO., LTD (China) signed the Memorandum of Understanding aimed at the future implementation of joint projects covering the manufacturing and supply of electrical equipment.
The document was signed by the Chief Executive Officer of JSC RASU Mr. Andrey Butko and the General Director for Overseas Marketing of Sieyuan Electric Mr. Zhang Zhiyong.
The MoU was signed on the first day of the X International Forum ATOMEXPO-2018.
The Memorandum of Understanding defines the key aspects and targets of the parties’ cooperation for a three-year period, with the priority given to high reliability, cost-efficiency and competitiveness of the electrical equipment. The document also presumes that additional agreements will be prepared later where the breakdown of financial and legal liabilities will be described.
The parties are planning to define the scope of potential mutual projects including the possibility to localize the production of Sieyuan electrical equipment at the enterprises of Rosatom State Corporation.
The exact list of the potential projects will be included in the Roadmap to be prepared by June 30. The same deadline is set for identification of the process and legal aspects, selection of localization sites, development of marketing and promotion programs for the localized equipment, both in the countries of the parties of the Memorandum (Russia and China) and in third countries.
